I just watched The Edge of Love on netflix. It's based loosely on the life and loves of the poet Dylan Thomas and takes place during WWI in England and Wales. The story was compelling, but the costume and set styling were what really captured my attention.
Now I'll be on the hunt for some over the knee socks, Hunter boots to pair them with, floral dresses, intricately knit cardigans, and I might just be breaking out my red lipstick after a possibly unmerited hiatus...

I first watched it on Netflix a few months ago and loved it! Kind of a crazy dark / weird love triangle thing goin on, but I absolutely adore Keira Knightley and the set was fantastic. Totally with you on the costuming - if only we could make our hair look like that...

I think I've seen someone else be inspired by that movie before, I'll have to put it in our queue. Wellies w/ femme dresses look is something I've tried before and is likely on the Dressember list for me too. I've got a new pair thrifted recently. I really like the contrast between rugged/functional boots and dainty florals/cardigans.
